Our mission is to promote cycling culture while giving of our time and resources to worthy causes that benefit our community and fellow man. Our current mission is to remodel PS7, an inner-city school. Every child deserves the right to equal education. Across the spectrum of education in America, there exists a wide diversity in the quality of education a child receives. Every child should be equal. Our mission may vary from time to time, but it will always aim to improve the human condition for our community.

The Sacramento Century is a beautiful, fun, and flat ride located right here in our own backyard. This ride provides four route options, starting at a 20 mile, 30 mile, 60 mile, and a full 100 miles. This event will be fully supported and include a post-ride party. The Sacramento Century is raising money for the Sacramento Habitat for Humanity, with the specific goal of building an entire house with the build starting in January of 2015.
PS7, ST. HOPE Public Schools’ K-8 elementary school, has proven that students from historically underserved communities can succeed at the highest levels if given access to a high-quality education. PS7’s program, which is marked by a commitment putting the highest-quality teachers in front of our classrooms, more time in the classroom and a relentless focus on improvement and results, has been recognized as a California Distinguished School, a Blue Ribbon Nominee, a Title I Achievement Award Winner and Charter School of the Year by the California Charter Schools Association.
Despite the fact that more than 80% of the school’s students qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program and over 90% come from traditionally underserved backgrounds, PS7’s students have gone on to attend some of the finest colleges and universities in the country. PS7 is a stark reminder that a student’s zip code need not determine their future.
A decade later, despite operating in a deteriorating complex, PS7/St. Hope is one of the ten highest performing schools in the Sacramento City Unified School District. Significant investments must be made to improve the capacity of the high speed internet connection, air-conditioning systems, restrooms, interior and exterior paint, and improvements to the interiors of the classrooms, including enhanced light fixtures, new storage for curriculum and supplies, and updated flooring. R4M is helping to build a learning environment worthy of our students and the future of our city, state and country.
Joining our club will provide you with many benefits! You will be given an opportunity to ask questions and ride with seasoned cyclists that have raced in a multitude of events from triathlons to endurance races, most recently RAAM and The Death Ride. R4M will be scheduling and hosting training sessions every week to help you reach your individual goals as a cyclist. Additionally, R4M is seeking to partner with other industry insiders to give our members significant discounts on anything cycling and nutrition related. Finally, Team R4M will be hosting, and participating in events throughout the year ranging from group fun rides to full racing events.
